This is a good one for me, I live on a border town of Fort Erie, opposite Buffalo, New York! When they were first started, the sauce consisted of only Tabasco sauce, butter, and barbecue sauce. You only use a small amount of butter, or the sauce will not stick. Buy some Jalapeno peppers, dry them out in the oven at 200 degrees for an hour, crush them and add to your sauce. After frying the wings, toss them with the sauce in a large Tupperware bowl. The barbecue sauce can be replaced with tomato sauce as long as its thick.
let me know what you think of the real thing!

Hooter's Hot Wing Sauce
6 servings 5 min 5 min prep
1 1/2 cups butter, melted
1/2 cup Tabasco sauce, plus
2 tablespoons Tabasco sauce
3 tablespoons light brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon paprika
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
3/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons chili sauce
Simply mix all the ingredients together very well.
Dunk, dip or soak your cooked wings in this sauce.
For a change of pace, I will occasionally re-fry the wings after they've been sitting in the sauce, and then dunk them again once they've spent just a few seconds in the deep fryer, crisping up.
Serve with ranch or bleu cheese dressing, or whatever you prefer.

I usually go with whatever bbq sauce I have at home (stay away from the sweet ones with brown sugar or honey), and cut it with Texas Pete. Texas Pete is an inexpensive hot sauce that will give your home made wings heat and the same taste as those in a good bar. TP is quite hot, so experiment with how much you want to add to the bbq. (I stay away from mayonnaise, miracle whip, butter, etc. Wings have enough fat without adding to it)

Try this recipe...Use 1 cup tabasco sauce, one stick of butter and 1/2 cup vinegar (destilled), in a saucepan add ingredients together and let it simmer. when you fry the wings use crisco shortening and as soon as they are fried coat them with the sauce.... hope you like it!!!
