I was wondering if i have to end it with a toast or a poem? I'd rather not.

I've known my friends fiance as long as she has, so we know eachother pretty well and we have a love hate relationship.

Can i say, "without her" (act as if i'm going to say something sweet) - "he would be eating over the sink and wearing dirty undies" etc etc.

And he tried to run me over in his car a few times (he was only joking but he really did try 2)

Can i say "he only does this because he knows if it was legal, i would be marrying her today instead of him marrying her"

I know all of her side going, but not really his side. But they all seem like they'd get a laugh from this.

Is this inappropriate? If someone said it at my wedding i'd laugh, and i know they both will laugh...

you have any more suggestions.

As long as both of them have a good sense of humor, then go for it. At a wedding you need a few laughs. Wedding can have a constant emotions.

If you believe that either the bride and groom will hate it, talk to them about it.

At the reception, usually both proper earlier than dinner or because the meal is drawing to a near. I consider speeches on the finish of dinner are higher, due to the fact then you definitely are not confronted with an viewers of hungry visitors. You must coordinate with the satisfactory guy and any one else giving a toast to make a decision who is going first, and while. As for subjects, it is determined by your courting with the bride and the couple. You could inform a humorous tale approximately you and the bride, or proportion a fond reminiscence. You can learn a poem or a quote that matches the social gathering.

the first one was funny...the second might be offensive. I'm a fan of funny wedding speeches, otherwise they get so boring. But just make sure it's not full of inside jokes or other people won't get them, and it just seems kinda rude!
Good luck, it sounds like you're going to have a great speech

This is definitely inappropriate. These maybe your friends... not your family. This is a union of families too. Some things, they don't want or need to know. Make a simple, heart felt toast. If this can't be done... don't.

I don't know. I've never heard of the maid of honor making a speech but, why not ask the happy couple. It's their wedding so no one's opinion is more important or more informed than theirs.
