China is the most dominant country in Asia, so I would start with China. Japan used to be the most interesting/talked about, but if you check the news nowadays you simply cannot escape China. Definitely having a focus on China might be a good idea as it might appeal to the largest number of people.
I say this because I am living in China and I am now starting a website for any and everything about China all in English.

2 most populated countries, China and India are in Asia. Almost all major religions have birth in Asia.
Mixed of races, cultures.
Enough for your start, if not then you may concentrate on civilization.

Asia is such a big country and has many races and cultures , it really unique. probably you can starts with Malaysia which you have many races and culture in a single country. try this link

oh our continent is too huge to fit in a brochure... why dont you start with Japan or Philippines.
