McAfee noticed jumped on stating that I have a corrupt file. but all the scans I run the messge never goes away

CPU's don't have corrupt files....

You'll need to look closely at the scanning logs to find the exact file that's corrupt and needs to be removed if McAfee doesn't name it...if it does name it then search for it and remove it...if it's a corrupted .dll, then do a search for it online and replace it. You can do that by starting up in safemode and renaming the dll to whateverold.dll and then put the replacement into the folder like system32 folder...where the dll cache is located...
