Honestly.... I was young.... quite young....early teen years, but I knew that he was and is the love of my life, I had the offer before, but didn't feel right about 'just doing it' to not be a virgin anymore, although my friends we not virgins, and made fun of me, I wanted something more important, and I got him...we've been married for 16 years this year, he was my first and only, and I'd have it no other way.
Don't do the act 'just because'... wait for it to be the memory you will always want to remember... because trust me, you will always remember it.

Hi!
I had sex just a few months before I turned 17. (I am still 17) My first time was with my boyfriend of 2 years and we're still together at 2 and a half years. ^_^ I was so scared to have sex, and now that I've had it, I've been having to do a whole bunch of tests, like a Pap Test (for women only) and other things. Also, I have been taking birth control for 2 years - basically since I started dating.
Is 17 too young, I don't know, but I would never take it back because I love my boyfriend, and he loves me. He didn't pressure me, and he still NEVER pressures me for it. We also go for regular check ups at the Island Sexual Health Clinic and we get alot of condoms for free there too. We are also eachother's first lover, so we take every precaution. Nobody wants to end up with a baby when they aren't expecting it.
But to answer your question, I think people should have sex, not just for the sake of having it, but because they are in a honest, loving relationship where they know eachother extremely well and are comfortable with eachother. I would never reccomend having sex in the begining of any relationships because thats how people are led to get hurt - MEN and WOMEN!
If you're a guy, please use condoms, and if you're a woman, please ensure that your lover uses a condom and you use some sort of birth control. Also, every couple should have a healthy, fulfilling sex life, so make sure you get regular check ups at a sex health clinic. It's fun and no one will look at you weird.

My first time almost a year into our relationship I was 15... but I think it changed it a little bit. And not for the better either. My second time I waited 1 week and now look, were not together anymore. But I am back with my first real relationship and it's been 4 great years.

I waited till i was 17, and believe me I REGRET IT!!!! I wish I would have waited tilI I was older and and met the right guy. Or maybe not even the "RIGHT GUY" but a good guy. I thought I was so in love with my first but turns out i didn't know any better. I cant stress how important it is to wait. Otherwise you'll look back and think, "man I should have waited" or "damn I didn't even know what I was doing". Anyways, if you are a virgin , Good for you. Thats smart! If not be careful

I waited until I was sixteen and that was because I was tired of getting all hot and bothered and saying "no." I now look back at losing my virginity as a time when I should of waited for the right person.
Your'e goodies are a gift; precious and valuable. Make sure you share it with the right person; because once it's gone you'll never get it back.
Plus there's way too many killa STD'S out there for you to be playing around... HPV, HIV...Syphillis....
Whatever you do make sure the person straps it on....

I was only 15, but I was also in love with someone who I'd been dating for a year. It not something you can put a blank age on. You have to wait until you find someone you feel is worth it. Don't rush it. You'll regret it later if you do.

As a (much) older guy, I was 21 and had no idea as to what was going on. She was my age but apparently knew a lot more than I did. Kinda wish I had a better understanding of things, then.
Afterthought - Glad I was w/o knowledge as she turned out to be a loser, beyond me!
Wishing her well anyway!
