They weren't dead. They just didn't exist. Once we experience life then die - we cease to exist again.

Ever seen "It's A Wonderful Life?" Good story, but hardly believable.

Yes, to a large extent it goes back to the way things were before you were born, but on a smaller scale things will never be the same again. Actually that's a crock too, as things will never be the same again no matter what does or doesn't happen...okay, mind asplosion.

Before you were born, there was no "you" - you did not yet exist. After a person lives his life his soul develops through the composite experiences, memories, thoughts, choices and affections of his life, and what a man is at the point of death is what he will be forever. He enters into a fixed unchanging eternal state.

No one knows, of course, although many here will claim that they do know.

My personal belief, which is quite logical if you are a non-Christian who believes in the soul, is that people move on from one life to the next, gradually learning and growing, until they reach "enlightenment" (oneness with the creator). At that point they may choose to return as teachers or guides, either in the physical or non-physical realms. It takes a very long time to reach that level, so very few such teachers ever appear.

I'm going to get thumbs-down for this, but I dare the naysayers to prove me wrong scientifically.

No! Before you were born you did not exist. But if you want to know if your life will be will be better than before you were born when you die, the answer is yes. Life on earth is not easy, but in Heaven you will find peace.

What was it like before you were born?

There was no "you" before you were conceived and born. Likewise, there is no "you" after you die - unless you want people to refer to your corpse or ashes as "you".

In ALL history there has NEVER been ANY verifiable evidence that souls or ghosts exist, nor that reincarnation or any kind of life after death is real.

Before you born, did you exist, no none part of you, your spirit or energy of life doesn´t exist as soon as you mother began the process of conception you began to exist, and the life´s energy began to exist, so that energy is not eternal if so we would be eternal, that what the bible promise to us the eternal energy that came from God so we can last for ever, but until now if we died our energy of life finish as the energy of the battery in a radio finish, where is the energy? nowhere

No one knows. You just ceased to exist. Did it bother you? I don't remember having a problem with it at the time.
