Well I'd been suffering from this for about the past 5 years or so. I would go through my ups and downs, and yes he knew I liked him. I moved away and didn't see him again for 5 years and I've thought about him everyday. Finally I tried to get in touch w/ him and found out he's getting married. So I was completely crushed for about a month after that, but I just had to come to the realization that it's not going to be. I think I'll always be in love w/ him but I've learned to live with it... unrequited love just sucks...
