Differin (adapalene) - skin irritation/sunburn?? also, did it work?

can you build up tolerance to differin? i used it a while ago but it really irritated my skin and i think it made me super sensitive to the sun. did it get better with time? did it work? THANKS

that is normally I am using differin gel currently and I first started using it last year and it did the same thing. My skin was burning like hell and was red. However, six weeks later my skin started to heal and get used to differin gel. So now my skin is very clear.
