I know ive asked this once already but nobody answered and I'm having a lot of problems with this and its kinda hard to admit it. I just can't talk to girls. I can talk to anybody except the girl I like. People keep telling me to not get nervous, to suck it up, and not to show that I'm nervous when I talk to her. The bottom line is I just get flustered and things just don't come out right, and no matter what im going to be really nervous. How can I fix this?

Just take it slow. Instead of starting immediately with a girl you like - work on building your confidence and ability to talk to girls.

1. Say hello as you pass a girl you know in the hall. You don't have to stop and talk - you just say, "Hi _____" and keep walking.

2. Before class ask simple questions. "Do you have a pencil I can borrow?"

3. As time goes on, and you feeling more confidenent, ask open ended questions that she can respond to - "What'd you think of that homework assignment?"

The more you talk to girls, the more comfortable you'll become. Just try to remember that we get shy and flustered too. It just takes some practice.

Do it.

You know it will be hard and you know it will mean making mistakes and perhaps even looking like a fool, but just talk to her.

Who cares if you look nervous? If you make a major mistake, then just tell her that you are not usually that bothered. Tell her that you know that you look like a complete tongue tied idiot, but you really hope that she will see through your stupidity and allow you to get to know her and allow herself to get to know the real you and not this total jerk that stands in front of her right now.

Be open and honest. Be yourself, and if that means being nervous, then so be it. Let the problem fix itself and stop worrying about it.
