models are not lazy in any way, shape, or form. its not easy to do cardio on only 800-900 calories a day. it really is tough.
but you cant blame the models for living in a system that works that way. they are just following their dreams and pursuits of being someone in this world.
im pretty sure if anyone had the body of the model, they would do it. the problem is, no one has that body and its not easy to attain.
oh, and that statistic that someone said above me is kind of biased. when you think at how many obese people live in this country, of course models weight is gonna be under that average.
just bein honest.

High fashion is like an art form and the models are the canvas.
I love the look of perfect clothing hanging on a long, symmetrical frame of a body.
But I do think the industry has taken it to an unhealthy extreme. When a naturally thin girl has to starve herself there's something very wrong. We know that anorexia and modelling go together like peanut butter and jelly.
So in short. Yes, they are too skinny and no they obviously don't eat like they should. Thin is fine but the Holocaust look is disturbing.

They are not representative of what the majority of the population looks like. I think they do what they have to to keep their job. Society has pushed it to that point but like someone said it doesn't effect me. I'm not model "skinny" and never got any complaints! I do think that the industry has put them in the position to not think about their health, and the industry doesn't care about them. They are just...a face and a body to them. And if they die, there are more waiting to take their place so no loss. :(
What do the photographers look like or the people who represent and advertise the skinny models? Mostly just like normal people.

I have never understood high fashion and I even dated a couple of models when I was younger. they got kicked to the curb very fast, the not eating thing gets old and then to hear someone complain about having no energy...I have no time for such nonsense

there is definitely something wrong...
Did you know that back in the day (40s? 50s?) models used to weigh 8% less than the average person, but now in the present, they weigh 23% less?!?! Is that not ridiculously crazy?

i think they can be as skinny as they want to be, and eat how they want to. it doesn't affect me what they do to themselves, so who cares? and besides, it's their life. they can do what they want with it.
