Now that your kids are grown and you have 20/20 vision... What would you do differently if you could go back in time?

One thing for sure is that I wouldn't have gone to work when my kids were 12 and 7, and I know I would've been stricter and tried to see things more clearly and be more involved in their school activities and above all, LISTENED more.

I'm lucky, my kids have turned out pretty well adjusted, well rounded/balanced adults with good heads on their shoulders and both very aware of their responsibilities. The only thing I would possibly change is to have been able to spend much more time with them as they were growing up, rather than losing too much precious time with work. I missed out on too many school trips, swimming comps, etc. because I had to work, and I think my husband feels the same way.

We all do the best we can do for our children. Looking back, there are things we would have done differently but at the time we did what we thought was right with the information we had from our parents. Everyone wants the best for their children but sometimes they just don't know how to give it.
