My son and I are holidaying in Los Angeles for a week in April and would like to find a driver to take us to various appointments throughout the day. Driver will need own car and will need to be available in mornings and afternoons. Will need to be flexible with times. May suit out of work actor or musician etc etc. I would love to know the best way for me to advertise this opportunity or to find a reliable and friendly person to take on this short term opportunity.

A car rental would be the best way to get a driver. Out of work is a good start. I plan on being out of work in April but you would have to rent a car. I have a class a license.

which week and what's it pay?
just make sure whoever you hire shows you proof of insurance (required in CA), and I also strongly recommend you have him/her pull a dmv report on his/her driving record. last think you want is some yahoo with17 dui's. paying for a full background check would be even better.
we have a website that lists sexual predators, check him/her out there, too.
i don't want to scare you, i just think it's good to be prudent.

I really think you might get some good results to this if you posted it on craigslist....Give it a try...They are great..
