i never got that removed crap but they are your cousin here is a good way to see it
if this is a cousin to your dad from his aunt then it is your second if it is his second cousin it is your third and so on an so on

If your dad and this cousin are 1st cousins (each having a parent that are siblings) then that cousin to you is your 2nd cousin.
