I recently bought a small appliance in Asia (Made in Taiwan), and the instructions say it requires two "No.4 Batteries." I am having trouble judging by the receptacles whether it accepts Size C or D batteries. Is anybody familiar with the battery sizing chart for China/Taiwan?

Everything I see coming out of Taiwan calling for No.4 batteries crosses to size AAA. Here's an example:

Usually they refer to them as UM4 but on occasion I see No. 4 as well. Size D would be UM1 and C's are UM2's.
