find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and thats how many you need to lose weight.
work out - cardio 4-6 times a week for 30-50min plus light weight training
8 glasses of water a day
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day
instead of big meals eat 5-6 small meals a day (portion control)
no junk food, no bleached flower (e.g.white bread, pasta), no sodas

It's recommdended that you work out for at least 60 minutes both days of the week. However, if you eat MORE calories than you burned off in all those workout, you're not doing a lick of good. You have to burn off more calories than you eat. So diet, too.

i say aim for at least 30 to 35 min of moderate activity 5 or more days of the week, fast walking, elliptical machine, the bike anything to get the heart pumping, try cutting out bad carbs which is mainly anything laden with added sugar try healthy alternatives like fruits instead of candy bars or cake. eat brown rice instead of white rice

Most gyms have personal trainers but you should focus on doing more cardio to burn the fat...and change your diet as well.
