My dog is gone! We've gone door to door asking if anybody has seen her to about 8 houses up and down the block. We've called for her for half an hour at three different times. We are going to check the pound tomorrow. PLEASE HELP. My siblings and I are so sad about this! We are going to post flyers if she is not in the pound. One of our neighbors sent an anonymous note last summer to ask us to stop her barking during the day or they would call the police. Do you think that has to do with it? Please Please Please Please Please HELP! We need all we can get!!! Thank you so much and God Bless!!!

If anyone has seen a reddish yellow lab wandering around in NY please message me.

Checking the pound is always the first step. If shes not there hang up flyer's, and put an add in your local newspaper. If you really think your neighbor may have had something to do with this GO TO THE POLICE! There are some people who will steal dogs for whatever reason. I hope you find your dog! You'll both be in my thoughts and prayers!

All I can say is that I hope you find your dog soon, I know what you are going through.
If your dog has a microchip implanted, always check that first. Then call the local animal shelter or pound to see if they have found a stray that match your dog's description. Hang flyers around your neighbour hood and in local grocery, pet food stores etc. Maybe post an add in the local newspaper, or possibly ask the local radio station to send out a message and see what response you get from there.
Best of luck and I hope your dog finds her way back to you guys soon!

Contact police, vets, rescues and shelters, pounds in the area to let them know your dog is missing, put an ad in the newspaper

Contact lab rescues in the area to get more volunteers to help in your search and to put up flyers, having extra help is a necessity

Read the first 2 posts on this forum it is written by a man who goes out and helps to recover lost dogs the second post relates to very shy fearful dogs who become lost and are much are harder to catch, a different approach must be used for them. THough written for greyhounds can be applied to all dogs.

Call the police and report the dog missing..... the police will say... that you have to call Animal Control... but at least if someone finds the dog tonight they may call the police and the police may relay the information.

Good luck! and God Bless.

God one of our sisters is missing. We need your help to keep her safe until you lead us to where she is at. Please make sure she isn't hungry or thirsty or in any kind of harms way. If something bad has happened please make it to have been fast and painless. Your Will is to be done and we will not question. Please lead us to her one way or another so we will not stand in torment. Lord we love You as she surely loves us.

Amen
