I lost my mom when I was 16. She never got to see my kids or the adult I grew up to be. I often wonder what she would think of my accomplishments and her grand daughters. Do you ever wonder what your parent you lost would think of you and your life, and new family?

I personally have both my parents but my husband lost his father when he was 24 years old and I know he took it hard. He never got along with his father really but the first day he met me he fell in love with me... He came running around the kitchen corner practically sliding into the front hallway where my, now husband, and I were standing and gave me a big hug. He took it hard and hated his father hugging me as he'd barely gotten to hugging me at that point...but after his fathers passing he found out how crazy happy he was that his youngest kid found a girl who loved him. He thought the world of me apparently and there's not a day that my husband doesn't think about his dad. I know he wishes that I could have gotten to know his father more and I know that he wishes that his father would have gotten to see us spend our life together and eventually have a family of our own (right now there are no plans for that).

I can't imagine what it's like to lose a parent, especially at a young age. My sister died when I was 4 months old...that's the closest I can come to knowing how you feel.... I am sorry for your loss though.
