It's a tiny fragment of a piece of metal that got stuck in my thumb. It's pretty deep and I have tried pretty much everything to get it out.

I work with metal all day and get a lot of metal slivers. I've got a pair of special tweezers called The Sliver Magician. They are found in Ace Hardware stores and they work great. Short of that, you can use a good pair of fingernail clippers that the cutters are lined up real good on. Soak your thumb in warm water for a bit to soften tissue then gently remove the skin around the sliver. When the head of sliver is showing grab with the tweezers, or clipper and pull out. Ya it isn't fun, but you'll get the hang of it. Another good tool is a straight pin,or needle. Sterilize it with a lighter before using it though.

I had a piece of glass in my finger- if you can't get it out- go to the doctors office.
Just wondering? Would a strong magnet work????
