Hes my best friend, and i tell him everything,guys anything. and it isnt now until this guy ive been going out with starts acting like a real jerk, and me hanging out more with my best friends and my girlfriends giving him attention that i think ive fallen for him... but i dont know what i should do.
i always am concious about the height problem. and the thing is he probably thinks of me as a little sister.

If height is more important than love to you, you really need to re-examine your priorities. No offense - but if a guy posed that same question, say like, "would you date an ugly girl?" the Yahoo community would crucify him.

My advice is that if you really like him, then go for it. If not, then forget about it. The height thing shouldn't be a big deal if you like him enough. If it bothers you every time you look/see him, then I suppose you shouldn't even consider dating him.
Be honest with him. From you saying that you've 'fallen' for him, it seems like you do care about him. So go on a date or two and if he feels normal, stay with him. If he's better off as just a friend, then tell him. Guys like straightforwardness. At least, I do.

Of course! It just matters if it works for both of you. My boyfriend is about an inch shorter than me and it is one of our jokes..."do you want me to be alot taller than you today...or just a little bit?" His height doesn't bother him, which is key. I doesn't bother me either. We have turned it into one of our own little jokes...I joke with him about me being taller than him (and his whole family) and he jokes with me about other things...(oh and we are best friends too)
But you should make sure you really like the guy before you go for it...don't just give him attention because your friends are...that would be messed up.

I think you should be honest as to how you feel... if the height problem isnt an issue for you, then dont worry about what others think...
personally, it would be an issue for me. I love to stand next to my man with my head on his chest.

NEVER !! But the reason is if I did they would say I am dating a midget..Im only 4' 11" Midgets range 4' 9" and shorter...not going to happen.. So therefor mine is 6' 1"... Climb him like a tree.... :)

easily one of my exes replaced right into a 6'2 gal, and that i'm 5'11" It wasn't the height that brought concerning the relationship to fail, yet both one human beings being pigheaded. we are now acquaintances back, yet that's it.

Who cares about height? I'm about 5'11'' so I have to make due with shorter guys sometimes.
