What is the relationship of the contents of Paul’s letter to the Romans to that of his letter to the Galatians? What are some of the common themes?

Paul's letter to the Romans could be called a handbook of the Christian life. It systematically deals with the major doctrines and purposes of the church. If you have a doctrinal problem you'll most likely find the answer to it in Romans. Galatians on the other hand basically deals with one issue and that is the influx of evil into the church. The problem was that people were trying to bring Judism into the church and Paul stood up against it and in doing so established principles to protect the church from false doctrines creeping in. Some suggest that the phrase " the just shall live by faith", is dealt with in the three books Romans, Galatians and Hebrews. Romans dealing with the issue of the just, Galatians dealing with the issue of living, and Hebrews dealing with the issue of faith. Personally I don't think that that approaches very accurate.

they are very similar - both talk mostly about the difference between being under the law and being under Grace......it also refers to the fact that we make mistakes all the time and sin, so how can the law be good for us? we will alway break the law by mistake so that is why Grace is talked about...which is the main thesis of the whole bible! one of the common themes i like to meditate on is 1st timothy 1:9 where is says that the Law was not made for a person in christ who is right with God....but a person who is sinner and wont be willing to spend time to change (AKA repent) in the book of genesis god told us that a savior is coming to redeem us so grace is always mentioned in every part of the bible, even King David accepted grace (romans 4:6)...God never wanted anyone to be under the law.

I'm not really sure but if I wear you I would get a bible and read in the New Testament! And look in the back of your bible at the concordance!
