I could tell you to read the novels for language learners that come in different levels and to join conversation classes and to watch DVDs with the subtitles on in English
OR I could tell you to get an ENGLISH SPEAKING BOYFRIEND OR GIRLFRIEND.
Have fun and good luck!

Writing – any kind of writing: journals, term papers, letters to your grandmother – will hone your ability in English. As you keep writing, you'll learn more and are able to learn more.

Reading is also incredibly important. It helps you extend your vocabulary and etch grammar and that like in your mind. Whether it's a novel, a newspaper article or the copy on the back of a cereal box – it's all writing. And it's most often correct English too, which you can use for reference in expressing your own words.

Also practice is important. Study five minutes before you go to bed, while your waiting in a car, or if you're just sitting around--no matter how little, it still will help you greatly.

Good luck.

Hi Pennybear,

Your best help is an English speaking friend. I learned Spanish in school but it wasn't until a friend that was from Mexico started to help me that I really got good at it.

Good luck to you, I hope you have a fiend that can help you.

Norm
