I have had many girls as just friends but i dont know why but girls dont think im interested in going out with them they all say they think i already have a girl friend or they are just shy around me and dont think i am interested.

oh yea i go to a school with very few girls and i am not interested in any of them. But i also do track and field at my public school i am the captain and very popular but I never have had a chance to get to know any of them while i run in circles till i pass out. their is almost 100 girls their on the team but we practice at different times unless we are outside and i just dont know how to get to know them and i dont know when i should ask for their number should i ask for it right after my first conversation with them or when.

I think you write like this search is for something as you shop for a loaf of bread. A girlfriend is someone you meet that you are friends with. You need to go to things within an interest of yours and find a girl that has this similiar interest and grow from there. Places to go - church function, (share religious beliefs), gym ( share training) , hobby store - super market etc. ...

Flirt more.... but just dont look too hard, she'll find you, if girls say they think you already have a girlfriend then its probably cause they think that your great and its impossible that your single

you need to make yourself available... make sure everyone knows your single and wanting a relationship...have friends set you up with people they think you will like. be proactive and go up and start talking to people... the biggest rewards come from taking the biggest chances
