I've had bad chills all day and a headache. I've been shaky and shivering even in my sweatshirt and blanket. Is this from a cold or flu? I don't have a stuffy nose or anything like that.
My temp was 99.8 a little while ago and is now 100.9.

The fever just started about 2 hours ago, so I don't know if it is still going up.

Sounds like the flu. If it was a cold you would more than likely have a stuffy or runny nose. Just keep getting lots of bed rest, and drink plenty of fluids. Try and take something to bring your fever down as well (I would recommend Tylenol or Ibuprofen). If it doesn't go away within 4-5 days try seeing your doctor.

Its not the flu unless your temp. goes up higher. Usually 102-104. You probably just have a cold virus. Temps. stay pretty low, but you'll probably end up with a stuffy nose and coughing. Take a couple ibuprofen every 6 hrs. That will help you feel better. Take care!

I vote for flu, too. Watch the fever and see if it goes up. Drink alot of fluids and try to stay warm. If your body starts to feel like a truck rolled over you, it's the flu. Got any aspirin, Tylenol, Advil or anything?

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck.
Headaches can be caused by minor problems
like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons
like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can
have harmful side effects, so it is better to
modify your lifestyle. More information available at
