All men are created with spiritual need. Only makes sense since God created us. Take a look at what people do to substitute that longing. Yoga, false religions, witchcraft, various meetings of discussion of topics about mankind and you can even throw in Woodstock which people compared to a religious experience. These are only a few of many substitutes.
In the end, God will only suffice. Not church membership or any of the above substitutes.

May I know why do you assume many that do not bother to believe in GOD are searching for something? If they are, they might be searching from the absolute truth then the truth being push upon those who believed in a man written book and call it god's work.

Because God's existence is not obvious, even to honest, well-meaning people who seek religious truth with the best will in the world. This is what philosophers of religion mean when they say God is "hidden". Some philosophers think that God's hiddenness is good proof against his existence, because a loving God would wish to make his existence obvious to all His creatures. Others try to argue (unconvincingly, in my view) that those who do not believe in God are unable to do so on account of some fault of their own.

They continue to search because the God of the Bible does not fit their own personal definition/description of who they want God to be.
