chihuahuas are very small puppies, the smallest in the world actually...ive had two, and actually just got a third a couple weeks ago..shes a puppy too....because they are so small, they need to have alot of sleep...every 15-20 minutes of play, they will need to sleep about 30-60 mins.....they will over tire themselves if they do not get enough sleep and could even go into hypoglycemia from high blood pressure...for that reason you should also five them about a teaspoon for caro syrup (you can get it at publix) (the light kind) every other day until they are about 3 months old....anyways...like i said, after every 15-20 mins of play, let him sleep for 30-60 minutes...i find that a play pen works really well for these puppies until they are old enough to roam the house alone without getting into some trouble..you can get a cheap playpen out of your local paper classified....just line the bottom with newspaper and tape cardboard around the sides so they dont get their nails stuck in the mesh...

Do not let her tear around. Do allow her to play wild. Chihuahuas have a ton of energy. If you want to get any sleep at night let her play all day.

I have a 6 month old chihuahua puppy she is very active but she is also on a routine. I think a routine is important. She has here play time but she knows when enough is enough then she wants you to hold her and cuddle her if you get active with her and you call the shots she will learn when it is play time calm time and nap time. It took me about 2 months to train her.

Let her play, she's just a puppy. That's not to say that letting her do EVERYTHING she wants is okay. Go on and train her not to bite and what not to chew on, but let her have her wild moments. If nothing else, it's good exercise, which is good because *i think* chihuahuas are prone to obesity.

She's a dog; much less a puppy so she needs to play and be active.

Tearing you're furniture, however is NOT and should NOT be a game. Buy her chew toys, treats and spend time with her. :)

When shes old enough, take her outside and have her run around in you're backyard. (Helps tremendously to burn of energy!)

Puppy's should have at least 45 minutes of play time each day. Keep it fun!

She needs to play but be careful what you let her tear around with. No old shoes, socks, clothing, she won't know the difference between what is old and what is new. Try to use her energy to learn some tricks.

She shouldn't be allowed to tear around wild all the time, but she does need some time to get exercise and have some fun.

Puppies love to play. I say, let her play, have fun with her! She won't be a puppy forever. Get her some toys and let her have a good time.

she shouldn't be allowed to tear around all the time, but she should have some play to burn off that extra puppy energy. If she doesn't get playtime it could make her worst

Cute--now--but in about two--to--three months--not so cute-- As a (pet--parent) you have to show your little dog who is BOSS" now or he/she will always have this kind of behavior. Your dog needs to know who is the little doggie and who is the parent. We all need some "quite" time. doggies included. Be firm but gentle--try putting your dog in a bed(made for him/her when they do not listen say something like "go--night--quiet-now" repeate the same phrase every time. Good luck.
