Former Prostitute that became a devoted follower of Christ after being treated like a human being. A woman in those days was prized for her purity in marriage, so being a prostitute may have rendered her unsuitable for ANY type of marriage. I don't believe that Jesus married or had any type of romantic relationship with Mary Magdalene.

My basis for this. When Jesus was on the cross on Calvary, he told John to take care of His mother. Why would he not be concerned about Mary Magdalene as well if she was his wife?

Ex-prostitute, became a disciple of Jesus Christ. She was one of the few actual witnesses to his crucifixion and ressurection, haveing come on the scene of His resurrection just as it happened (she was there to finish giving His body a "proper burial" with some of the other women).

It is said that Jesus may have paid special attention to MM, and I can really believe it. A prostitute's life is difficult: no family, no love, no self-respect, always being used, looked down on, and spit at. She left this "glamourous" (according to Hollywood) life behind to follow a man who told her that God loved her just as much as He loved men. She found a man who loved her, not for her body (literally!), who would never use her and then dump her, who gave her something she had given up long ago:

RESPECT.

In a way, MM reflects us all in our relationship with Christ. We all, whether we want to admit it or not, have a filthy past. Christ welcomes us anyway, especially when the "religious elite" call us "human garbage".

Could you give chapter and verse where it says Mary Magdalene was a prostitute?

A prostitute that became a loyal follower of Jesus!
As the King from Heaven and as the Creator of all, Jesus controlled every sinful behavior of flesh wherewith He was; The Letter to the Hebrew said: Jesus was tempted bun sinless.
Therefore, it is the lie of the devil to state that Jesus had sexual relation with Mary Magdalene. Please, Jesus, forgive those devil followers!

We are not sure she was a protitute.
Seven demons were cast out of her.
She was devoted to Jesus.
She is mentioned a total of 14 times in the gospels.
Most of the time she is mentioned with Mary the mother of Jesus.

I believe she was a prostitute who became one of Jesus' students. No where in the Bible does it say he married her. I'm sure He loved her as He loves all of us.
