Is it possible to do this, and if so, is it complicated? Currently, if I have files that are larger than 700 mb, I use Nero 9 to split it into 2 VCD's, but wondered if I could just burn them onto a single DVD-R instead. I don't really understand alot about the different extensions (ie. avi, mpg etc) or some of the other computer terminology related to burning stuff, so if you could keep your answer worded fairly simply, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I should add, that I would like to be able to play it in my DVD player. They are mostly AVI files, but I find that Nero is reasonably fast at doing the coding, or whatever it is to convert it so that it will play in my DVD player. I just want to make sure that if I use a DVD-R, that I don't have to do anything different (ie. do I still burn it as a VCD, or do I have to do it as a data disc? )
