Many meds are time release. Crushing them can cause all the medication to be released at once. This can cause unpleasant response to the med. Also many meds are “enteric coated” which means that they have a special coating to protect the stomach. As you know some meds can really mess up the lining of the stomach. When you crush the enteric coating you break the protection.
