So he *CAN* interfere with evil acts if he wants to, but he CHOOSES not to in order to keep our free will in tact. So he allows some of his children to gang rape and murder another one of his children, but chooses not to get involved.

So is God complicit in every evil act that he CHOOSES not to stop?

I'm still not getting any answers to my prayers.

Yep - that's the problem of evil, and no matter what anyone tells you, there's no simple answer to it. Philosophers have spilled a lot of ink trying to get around it, but none have found what I consider to be a satisfactory answer. TYhose who come up with pert or cutsie solutions like "there has to be evil for there to be good" or "suffering is part of God's plan" are unfairly trivialising. Real faith doesn't involve such easy answers to difficult questions.

Still, those of us who have faith have to live with it, however much we may not want to. It is difficult - insoluble even - but it is a dilemma we live with.

Not bad as far as these questions go, I haven't seen love taken away yet in order to maintain free will. I've seen the opposite, where a loving God must give us free will, or at least it's replaced with robotics if man's will is damaged. But take a look at an inability of Man to choose God because of our fallen nature and see where that leads. Just a suggestion...

I was a victim of a violent crime when I was 17. God didn't hurt me -the man did. What God did do, is allow that event to make me a better person because I asked Him to. How can I explain to you what is impossible to understand unless you have experienced it. All I know is that because of that act I am a better counselor, friend, preacher, and person. Am I glad that it happened -of course not. Do I blame God -NEVER. Since then God has lead me through forgiveness of this unknown and never caught assailant. God has also lead me into prison ministry where I minister to others who have made similar bad choices as my assailant. I know that it doesn't make sense. And believe me that when God called me into this ministry that I really didn't want to go but He continued to affirm this call. So I went and have been amazingly blessed by it. Jesus turned the world upside down. Blessed are the meek. I know that sometimes things do not make sense-but if you are truly seeking than God will reveal the answer to you- just make sure that you are open to it when He does.

Evil goes back to the day of Adam and Eve. When God created humans he created them sinless and there was no evil in them. When Adam and Eve ate from the forbidden tree, they brought evil to mankind.

That said, God gives everyone of us free will. We have the free will to decide whether or not we will accept salvation, we have the free will to choose a mate, and yes, we have the free will to decide if we will sin or not (or participate in evil acts). Free will is one of the most precious gifts he has given us.

If he stopped every act of evil, he would be interfering with free will, which he does not do. Instead he offers us ways to cope with the evil. We have God to turn to for comfort and strength and guidance. God does not promise us that there aren't going to be tough, even seemingly unbearable days ahead, but he does promise us that he will be there for us and help us get through them.

In Christ!

You aren't getting any answers because your prayers are rooted in anger. Something may have happened to you - and I'm truly sad if it did. But the price of true free will is that we have to deal with the good and the bad. EVERYone has free will - including those that would abuse it. If God destroyed everyone who sinned there would be no one left on earth - and that is not free will. That's God controlling our environment. And that's not what He does. He offers us eternal life AFTER this earth - the life we have on this earth He will help us through and guide us, but in the end we make our own choices.

No you didn't choose to have something bad happen to you - it happened. But the person who did made a choice and it affected you. Have you ever made a bad choice that negatively affected others? Have you ever lied and broken someones trust? They didn't choose to have that happen to them - you did. Free will works both ways. Freedom ALWAYS costs when human error is in play.

John 8:44 specifically stated who's children we are. God wouldn't let His children rape each other... the thing is, we are no longer His children after the fall. We got disowned. So blame the devil for not interfering with the gang rapes.

Only those who believe in Him are given the power to become His children (John 1).

In order to gain good sons, God lets bad people to do bad things in order to prove your goodness.
In order to proof you are merciful as Him, God need poor people to help.
That's why, to our human eyes, it seems that God does not interfere with evil actions on earth.

you can't have it both ways. if G-d does not interfere, he is evil for allowing evil to happen. if he does interfere, he is evil because he is a tyrant controlling us like puppets.

sometimes, in order for good to exist, there also needs to be evil. it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.
