Did He pay the price for your sins so you would not have to burn in hell for eternity? If so, then why is He setting at the right hand of God instead of burning in hell?

I know He was sinless, but He paid the price for your sins. That price is the same price an unrepentant sinner will pay. Either that or He did not pay the price for your sins.

3 days in hell compared to an eternity? Be serious.

OK Nana, Why is the price He paid different than the price an unrepentant sinner will pay. Is God unjust or is the belief in eternal torment of the wicked wrong?

In the Jewish sacrificial system, a sin offering was done for the sins of Israel by sacrificing an unblemished animal. It was mandatory and made by one who had sinned unintentionally or was unclean in order to attain purification.

The first such sin offering was done with Adam and Eve when God took an innocent animal and killed it to clothe Adam and Eve when they realized they were naked.

It is written , without the shedding of innocent blood there can be no remission of sin.

This was a temporary, substitute offering. Something unblemished and innocent dying for the sins made by man. How ugly and unfair for the animal. That's how ugly sin is.

God planned all along that the Messiah, Jesus (God) would be the Passover Lamb for the remission of sin once and for all because only God is Holy, Pure and Righteous. Only He could stand in our stead.

If you can think of all the filthy, horrible, wicked things that man has done you can visualize Jesus taking this upon Himself as the innocent Lamb at the Cross. Only this would satisfy God and atone for man's vilest sins. But it was not just done for Israel but for all mankind.

That is why you have to accept this gift of salvation. By accepting this gift and recognizing Jesus as your Savior, you have been reconciled with God once again.

If you don't there is punishment.

While I am not a fan of blood and gore, Mel Gibson's movie showed you how ugly sin really is.

Nailed to that Cross is deceit, lying, murder, rape, idolatry, sexual sins, hate, lewdness, addictions of every kind, slavery, pride, arrogance, sarcasm, I could go on.

Jesus paid the price to reconcile the world unto Himself. Because He loved you.

Christ payed the Ultimate Price. He is the First & Only creation by Jehovah God directly. He was used to create every one-&-thing following that. It was an Ultimate act of Humility & Love for him to become a man at all, let alone to go through the torture, humiliation & death that he did. He knew that by doing so, he would be able to have a grand part in undoing all the harm, putting everything right again, & ultimately proving that his Father has The Right to Ultimate Sovereignship. This is described much better thusly:

Jesus Saves--How?
- Mankind Faces a Difficult Problem
- God Provides a Perfect Solution
- Jesus' Death Has GREAT Value!
http://www.watchtower.org/library/w/2001/11/15/article_02.htm

Hellfire is a man-made myth, nothing more. Period.
Hell itself is simply the common grave of mankind, or, nonexistance, cessation of all life.
More details about these 2 hells are in the following:

What Really Is Hell?
- Life After Death?
- Unending Torment?, OR, Common Grave?
- Hellfire--All-Consuming?
- Hell Will Be Emptied!

The purpose of Christ's ransom sacrifice was not to simply take mankind's suffering for sinfulness onto himself. At death, there is no more sensation of any kind. Christ actually ceased to exist for 3 days - only existing in God's memory. He was then resurrected back to heavenly life, from whence he'd come. This time, however, he held the value of his human life that he'd faithfully lived & given up, with which to repurchase the opportunity of perfect life for mankind back again... and this is explained very well in these:

What Is God's Purpose?
- God Does Have a Purpose!
- A Very Good Purpose!
- God's Kingdom of a Thousand Years
http://www.watchtower.org/library/g/1999/2/8/article_02.htm

What Exactly Is the Kingdom of God?
http://www.watchtower.org/library/rq/article_06.htm

So ... the reasons that Christ isn't burning in hell are:
#1. Hellfire doesn't & never has existed, nor will it ever.
#2. Messiah never commited any sin, thus it would't be fair --nor would it be of benefit-- to hold him responsible for other's sinfulness ... plus we very likely wouldn't learn anything from that, anyway.
#3. Sitting at the right hand of God might sound to some like inactivity, but it is actually symbolic language for Christ being in the Most Favored & intimate position possible with God.

Of course! If you've ever heard the verse John 3:16-17 you would know!"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the would through him might be saved" It says right there, that if you accept Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, that you will not perish (die and go to hell) but have everlasting life (Eternity in Heaven). Why would Christ burn in hell? He did not sin, not even one, when you think back, and see that we have sinned too many times to count in one hour? He paid the price so you wouldn't have to. Hell was made for Satan and his angels, Jesus has no place there. Hope that answered your question!

We are living in the last days.....Satan launches very personal attacks. He attacks our marriage, our children, our job and our personal property. Our mind is also a favorite target, as well as our emotions and our physical body. Actually, the list is endless. Has God left us defenseless? I believe God has a glorious plan for His people. He has established in His Word that His children are to be the head and not the tail, above and not beneath(Deut.28:13): Placing our faith in God's Word honors Him. Jesus is the Mighty Warrior, the Captain of the Host. He is our Leader, and He is leading His people into victory. I do not believe that we have to live in fear in these last days. No matter how difficult life may seem, God has promised to provide for His own. He has assured us that we can live in victory if we keep our eyes on Him.Part of keeping our eyes on Him is keeping His ways and walking in His instructions. All through the Bible we are told to exalt the Word, the name and the blood, to put confidence in the power that is invested in them. We will walk in victory if we do what the Lord says. The Bible says that we are protected from the attacks of the enemy as we abide in God's presence Psalm 91 clearly brings out this truth.

Jesus redeemed the human race. That doesn't mean that humans cannot go to hell, or that humans cannot suffer. It means he regularized the relationship between God and man. Now it is possible for a person to go to heaven. Before Jesus' sacrifice, it was impossible for any human to enter heaven.

A previous answerer erroneously stated that Jesus went to hell for three day. The Apostles Creed uses the ancient meaning of the word hell to describe the place of the dead. It was the place where the holy souls who lived before Jesus waited for him to come. It was not the place prepared for the Devil and his demons.

Also, he was not crying out in desperation when he said "my God, my God; why have you forsaken me". He was reciting part of Psalm 22 in prayer.

Adam sinned & gave his offspring (us) that sin/death. Through 1 man (Adam) sin entered, so too through 1 man (Jesus) sin was repaid. The Bible never says we go to hell, that is a major lying teaching of false religions. He came down willingly to die to give us a chance to live forever as perfect ones (Something Adam lost). He sits at Jehovah's right side awaiting when his ransom will be put into full effect. His father will tell him when to come down & wipe out wickedness. Then Earth will be restored to a Paradise as we grow perfect. His perfect blood bought us a way out of sin/death.

WRONG THEOLOGY!
Jesus Christ is the King of Heaven. We are sons (bad and good ones) of him.
The King came down to earth to show that every man can go into heaven by following His path: by following Jesus, and possessing His traits, through bodily death to join the everlastin happiness in eternity!
Glory to King Jesus!

The price of redemption for our sins was His sacrifice (because He was without sin) which He didn't have to do, but it was the price God had established according to His will.

Because He was the sacrifice for our sins. God sent Him for that purpose. He was perfect, sinless....

To escape hell, you must profess your belief in Jesus and His sacrifice. You must repent for your sins ....Again, Jesus was sinless
