I having some problems with a guy, and all of the sudden I became depressed. It's hard for me to sleep because I feel like I need to be up and doing something. Is there any way to put my mind at ease?

write all your thoughts on a piece of paper.
I do this when I can't sleep or when I wake up because I have too many ideas in my head... once on the paper, I feel I can sleep because I will not forget about all of my thoughts.. they'll be there the morning after.

Good luck!

You said it--it is a classic sign of depression---first off, no person is worth all this saddness and grief. NO ONE. You are probably either blaming yourself or something else is playing over and over in your mind--why??That is self destructive behavior. Problems come in all shapes and sizes--so what??, everyone has problems. It is understandable to be sad, but long duration saddness or anger is keeping you from resting normally. You have got to learn that there are just too many nice people out there and staying with a problematic relationship is not at all worth it. Sleeping pills are a dangerous habit and affect your daytime routines. Don't do them. Kiss this guy goodbye and get a grip--move on and find some hobby or new activity to partake in. If you are in a hole, stop digging and climb out---if the horse is dead, get off. Please realize that all you decisions are your own to make--so make one, here!! Smile and good luck

A broken heart hurts worse than most people realize. I can tell you that it won't help if you keep thinking about him and obsessing about what went wrong. Once when I thought I would die from being dumped, I tried to busy myself with hanging out with friends, reading books (not about love!), and trying to make myself feel better. Paint your nails, get a facial--ANYTHING except think about him. Take 2 benadryl capsules when you're ready for bed. You'll sleep like a rock and it won't hurt you at all.

Insomnia experts say if you don't fall asleep on your own in 20 minutes, get up and do something to relax. Take a bath, read a book, I make some Peppermint tea. Peppermint is a natural muscle relaxer.

U can try getting more tired by excersising during the day. Read a book, that might bore u and u would eventually fall asleep.

If I can't sleep because I am worried or stressed out about something, I try to write it down. It helps to get the thoughts out of my mind. Or, I read an uplifiting book (spiritual or motivational). That usually helps me to get my mind off my issues.

it's a habit, you take the calming time to think about what's going on in your life. you can try watching a movie or listening to a story and when you turn it off and try to go to bed and if you start to think of what ever is bothering you just start thinking of how the movie or story started and repeat the story in your mind and at first it will be kinda hard at first but after time it will be easy till you can think about it and stop thinking about it when ever you want, and not let it bother you.

Close your eyes and try to concentrate on one thing. Something pleasant and simple. Don't let you mind wander-If it does, refocus on your one thing. My boyfriend's mom says think about desserts.

And last of all...Guys come and go...there are millions of them out there...if a guy makes you feel bad..GET RID OF HIM! You want a guy to lift you up and makes you feel special...Right now you can't even sleep...he's not worth it.
