Competition: Red pandas almost certainly find themselves competing with humans for habitat. Pandas want forest or natural habitat, humans clear bamboo forests for bamboo to build houses and other things.

Parasitism: There are almost certainly hundreds of parasites that can use red pandas as hosts. Parasitic nematodes (like tape worms) will inhabit the gut. Mites and lice/fleas will live in the fur. There are probably blood borne parasites as well. (I'm sorry, I don't know the specific species.)

Mutualism, commensalism: Sorry, I don't know enough about red pandas to give you exact answers here. But find out what other species live in close association with red pandas. Mutualism is where both species benefit from the same thing and so the two species perhaps co-occur. Commensalism is where the species have lived together with each other so long and so intimately that they have co-evolved to a kind of dependence upon each other. Red pandas eat bambo like giant pandas, but also berries and some fruits. You might find a commensal relationship between red pandas and a common food source, where the food species is dependent on red panda feeding to help spread seed around.

Good luck in your research.
