There are some sprays that are out there that you can get for cats I know of, I don't know about dogs because I've never wanted to keep them out of my yard since i have dogs. Find out who it is and make them clean it up. I carry baggies when I take my dog out and I always clean up after him. If your yard doesn't have a fence, you might need to put one up. Really legally there is nothing you can do until you know who it is and have told them that you don't appreciate the dog poo in your yard. You would also have to post signs to make it public that you don't want the dogs in the yard if you have no fence. You can make it yourself, put a picture of a dog pooing and red circle with slash. Then everybody who has a dog knows that you don't want it there and when you catch the Person's dog at it you can then notify the authorities cause it's posted and they can't dispute it....And also are there strays in your area? If so it might actually be a stray, or even somebody who's walking there dog everyday in your area, might not even be a neighbor, so you first need to find out who do is doing it.

This reminds me of a friend of mine. Some dog kept crapping in her yard and like you didn't know who it was .. One day she stuck around to catch this person. Sure enough the women come walking to her yard and the dog did it business..she walks out and told her "i DO NOT CRAP IN YOUR YARD I DON'T EXPECT YOU TO CRAP IN MINE" lol She got the message across and it never happen again lol. I don't know if that helps or not but it reminded me of that day I thought I would die laughing at her and the look on that women face lol

Get proof, such as video tape of the dog coming into your yard and crapping and then leaving again and then call the cops and bust your neighbor for letting his dog run loose.

Very annoying and obviously someone has not enough courtesy to use a baggie to dispose of it themselves and take responsibility. The best thing to do is wait and may be coincidentally, the dog owner may walk by on the weekend and you'll nab them?

get the hose or stick several mouse traps in your yard he steps on these and chances are he wont be back usually the suprise or the sound chases them away if you have small kids you may have to do this on a day they will not be outside

tell the neighbor that he keeps pooping in your yard and maybe he will keep him close to his house or put a gate in your front yard so he can't get in

either bite your tounge and live with it, tell your neighbor to make the dog stop, and if that doesn't work and you really care about it, GET A FENCE!

Pick it up with a rubber glove, and smear it on his house, car, etc. He just might get the idea you're displeased.

if you don't see it happening and you don't know who the dog belongs to there is really nothing you can do but buy a pooper scooper.
