Obi Wan Kenobi is the greatest! I set up a shrine in my closet to him and I sacrifice star trek action figures to his holy image.

I'm not actually sure about your statement that less people die in Star Wars,it has a war that takes place over decades between parts of a society that comprise hundreds if not thousands of star systems with a combined population that most likey exceeds the hundreds of billions. That said I like the analogy, after all if you can believe in God then you should certainly believe in something like the Force, which actually seems more likely since there is actually a biological explanation for the force.

I love Obi-wan. He speaks to me in a way Jesus never could. Of course, they are both fictional characters, but its ok to pretend every once in a while, as long as nobody gets hurt.
May the Force be with us all.

Yes, I love Obi-Wan.
I have to disagree with the body count, though. Remember the Death Star blowed up Alderon? (That has got to be a better way to go than to drown, though!).

Yes, but I want Obi Wan to renounce Jediism and run away with me.

Obi-Wan Kenobi was an interesting fictional character. Nowhere does George Lucas claim to be "channelling" a real story, of a real historical figure. GL does not claim to have known OWK personally, or to have met someone who did, etc. He freely admits making up the morality play of Star Wars.
The Bible is a compilation of human accounts with the supernatural; a historical record, like the Trojan War or Josephus' "Histories", only MUCH better preserved. The authors DO claim to write about things they themselves have seen, heard, touched, and experienced.
Star Wars is fun, but Jesus is real.

This was not the work of the sand people. They walk in a line to hide their numbers. Look at the blast marks. This was the work of imperial stormtroopers. They were looking for something.
