You need to provide way more information.What year,model and engine for starters and then tell us a little about the noise like is it coming from the front or rear and does it do it sitting still or moving or on turns. If you want a decent answer tell us more please.

Most common humming noise is a noise from the rear, which is the fuel pump whine.

That usually means it's getting ready to go out, but I've seen them go years with the noise and keep driving.

it would help to know what area it was coming from on it,something to go by would help answer this,i cant help on this one good luck.,,PS listen back at the tank area,if its sounds like its coming from there it may be the fuel pump going bad on it,i just remembered fixing one like that ,good luck with it.
