is it just me or does anyone else find it strange that ive never seen a bt payphone booth be emptied i.e money taken out.....where does it all go?hmmmm...strange......

Not sure as far as BT, but the local guys around here are set up on there route, and empty them periodicaly. Wouldn't suggest tryin to break into one, even if you come across a key that opens them. When this happens they install a special lock that jams the key preventing the lock box and key from being removed.

There are very few payphones around where i live anyway unless they are inside buildings, like cafes.Maybe instead of emptying them the coins go down a long tube which ends up at base!! (Haha)Well it saves on paying someone to go out and empty them manually!!! lol

As very few people use them it's probably not worth the cost to collect the odd 50p in there!
