My mother-in-law had that done recently. She's done very well with it. Surprisingly it is fairly common. There is a new synthetic material that is being used now. It is relatively new and I think is still in the testing stage. A family friend had the synthetic material implanted and he said he loves this material more than the cadaver bone.
