I was looking through my computer shortly after lending it to my 18-year-old brother (a senior in High School) and found a file he had created which contained alll his AIM and MSN conversations. I felt nosy and clicked one of them opened. Unfortunately, I found myself reading about an his girlfriend's heavy bleeding do to a secret abortion. I don't know what to do. Help!
I am two years younger than him.

His girlfriend is in my grade, she's a couple of months younger than me. I didn't see her at school today. My brother has been really stressed out laterly, he snaps at you for the smallest things. But we are not really close so I don't think confronting him can be the best thing.

Honor your brother's wishes for it to be a secret and take it to your grave with you. He is an adult and if he wanted the family to know, he would have said something. One of these years you can let him know that you held his secret, but never tell anyone else. This could devastate your brother, if he isn't devastated already. Be a good sister, you would want him to hold your secrets in confidence.

Whoa. That's big. You should talk to your brother even though he'll get mad at you for snooping around. But you know your doing the right thing by talking to him and telling your parents. This is hardcore news and you have to tell your mom and dad. If you don't there will be consequences for the girl who's getting an abortion.

No one should have to live with something like that. Yes, you shouldn't have been prying but two wrongs don't make a write.
If you're 2 years younger your 16 so you should be able to have a mature conversation with him. It's not your role to tell him what to do, but you need to tell him you're concerned for him.
You should tell him that he should tell your parents. That is as long as your parents will be able to react rationally. If they won't then he needs to go to another mature responsible adult he trusts and ask for their help. Either way, if he won't seek some guidance you should tell him you will have no choice but to tell.

I think you should leave it but maybe ask your mom about if she knows about your brother's girlfriends. Keep the matter discreet. Do not jump to conclusions as it may not be what it seems. Maybe it was another boy's fling who made the girl pregnant that she opted for abortion.

When you go through an abortion... it is normal for you to have heavy bleeding... it's ok... don't get involved with your brother... For boys... Its something that they don't want to let their sis know.. what they have been up to

You could mind your own business. If he wants to discuss it with you he knows where to find you.
