Hi all

I plan to do an unpaid internship for 4 weeks in New York City this winter. I come from England, UK. Apparently I need to have a work visa, even though I won't be paid and the place I will be working at is not part of a registered 'exchange' scheme.

Does anyone know what sort of visa or permit I will need to work voluntarily?

Thanks v much guys

Unpaid interships are illegal. The company has to pay you at least minimum wage (hence the name) unless you are getting college credit for it. Any company not paying you is not worth working for.

definite,US voters require an prolonged term visa for the reasoning of their stay.you will possibly require uk everlasting residency or what's called Indefinite leave to stay minimum with the intention to stay their completely.besides the shown fact that, that's exceptionally plenty impossible to benefit ILR in case you have no longer have been given uk kinfolk or have a grasp's degree and PHD.
