this is a training issue and it has been my experience that training out a problem is harder for the owner than the dog. Since this is something that you created I would suggest a trainer to work with your dog and you. best of luck

Because you "babied" him, you have become his "female", or who he needs to protect. When he goes to snap at someone, put him on the floor and ignore him. Do not give him ANY attention for biting, or he will continue. Muzzles will not make him stop trying to bite people and are not a long term solution (or a solution at all, really). He must see you (and EVERY OTHER human) as the dominant one. Google "Nunu" for a similar Chihuahua...Ceasar Milan taught the people what to do for their dog in that situation and he is no longer aggressive.
Some other things for future reference: there is no such thing as a miniature Chihuahua, as Chihuahuas are already minature. What you probably got was a runt from a bad breeder. Another clue that lets me know it was a bad breeder was that they let you take your puppy home at 6 wks. You aren't supposed to take average sized puppies home until 8 wks, and toy puppies not until about 12 wks. 6 wks is just when they are learning dominance and bite pressure from their family, so your puppy may have been stunted in his learning.

first you are right you do have a minature cichuahua whoever said you don't doesn't know dogs. i have a mi-nature chihuahua she weighs 3 lbs full grown they have ones that weigh up to 10 lbs anyway you need to let the dog get to know people that are regulars in the house. my dog did the same thing once she realized that they aren't a threat she will be a lot better around them. As for just regular company pick her up and introduce them. so she realizes they are not a threat to you. this is what i go through with mine all the time but she is worth it. hope this works for you mine it does

nicely I doubt she hates him. She won't undergo in strategies being 3 months old and him no longer being there, so as that has 0 to do with it. Do you ever talk undesirable approximately him while she overhears? while you're genuine clingy together with her that could have something to do with it additionally. in case you labored and he stayed domicile you would be asking the comparable question for your self. If he does no longer yell or abuse her i don't be attentive to why she does in comparison to him. additionally, do no longer enable people supply you crap approximately him calling her soldier. no you are able to tell him what to call her, if thats what he likes bypass away him on my own approximately it. some dads merely get each and every thing attacked they do cuz its no longer the way mom might do it.

Nothing worked with my Chihuahua...nothing worked! he bites everyone that gets close to anyone! and he bites anyone that gets close to him when he's eating and bites everyone that tries to push him wen he's asleep. Nothing worked to fix him. We just accepted him the way he is LOL. We also love him and can't get rid of him.

first there is no such thing as a miniature chicha. try a muzzle like the other person said to do. make sure that only you husband and daughter feed him his dinner. if you do not pay any attention for a while and they are the only ones to put him out side and feed him he will begin to like them.

Biting can be a very bad habit for dogs to try and break.
Enrolling him into obedience courses can benefit him and you in the long run. PetSmart offers them.
Good luck!

You could muzzle him till he learns better. Or just scold him when he bites and act like you are mad at him so that he knows it is wrong. Because no pets want their owners to be mad at them. :)
