Reading the camcorder buying guide on ebay will help you and it also has reviews on camcorders.

Best to look for a special or wait for black friday next thanksgiving.

Wal Mart had a JVC for $200 that was nice but you can't find these anymore. Most start around $250.

The Aiptek is not very good. You'd be better off with most still cameras like a Kodak 653 or 753 and they will do decent video.

I went to best buy and they have a really cool sony HD camcorder its very expensive though. but it will give u great results. if u want a more simpler or cheaper price wise camera then get a mini dv one sony is always a great brand JVC is good and panasonic or get a mini dvd camera those are cool to go to best buy and try them out. youll know when u see it and make sure it has a still shot button most cameras have them and make sure it has a mmc or sd slot! happy shopping! :)
