The salesperson from Microsoft said that I can install on laptop and desktop, but not use at the same time. Is it true?
I was considering Office 2007 but have heard mixed reviews. Outlook 2003 sounds like it would work. Any thoughts?

An alternative is to find software that is not restricted like this and you can do pretty much whatever you want with it.

Openoffice is open source, and free. Install it on as many machines as you want.
