Well, i'm gay, but i cant remember where I caught it from...maybe it was during some cold weather when i didnt wear a coat? Or maybe it was from that spoiled milk I accidentally drank when I was little?...hmm...i dont know. OH! Maybe I caught it from someone else, cause you know you can TOTALLY become gay if you come in contact with someone who is already "sick" with it! Cause after all it is a sickness right? :P Ahahaha you people are funny. I love you.

I never made the choice to be straight, that's just how I am. Whoever said being gay is a sickness is suffering the sickness of a closed mind, which is a very toxic sickness.

All embryos are female before they become male in the womb. Some geneticist speculate that there is some kind of miscommunication in these early days of male (XY) development that contribute to homosexuality on the molecular level. The same miscommunication can occur with female embryos (XX). The same guys speculate that it is no different than any other birth defect.
On the other hand, there have been studies that show many people that were molested or sexually abused as children often become gay as adults or sexual deviants (such as promiscuous, pedophiles, rapists etc.).
Me personally... I think of the gay movement as a religion. (I know being gay isn't a religion) I don't mind gay people at all. Some of my good friends are gay. What I don't like are the gay people that are so "proud to be gay" that they have to shove it in everyones faces and make sure that everyone knows that they are GAY. I'm hetero and I don't go off telling everyone "HEY!! I'M HETEROSEXUAL AND I LOVE THE C0CK" Or the people that thing everything that's bad that happends to them is because they're gay... I think America is over the whole gay thing. If you're gay, great.. You don't have to be a jerk about it..

Ok, so, my answer is going to be a little complicated. Yes and no it is and isn't. I believe the Bible and it says that when Adam and Eve sinned they then passed sin onto their children and so on. Everyone would sin from that point on and would need salvation. Ok, so alcoholism runs in my family, for many generations. Is is a sickness? Yeah, kinda. Is it genetic, I don't think it's been proven, but again I would say yes it is. I believe someone can be born with the predisposition for homosexuality.
One of my good friends is gay and had displayed signs of it since he was a young child, according to his mother. Do I believe there's nothing he can do about it? Absolutely not. Just like through prayer and worship I seek the Lords help in keeping myself from drinking, no matter how irresistible it is, I believe the same for homosexuals. Yes, I believe you can be born that way. But yes, I also believe you can CHOOSE not to act on it. We are born with a sinful nature. Homosexuality is a sin that I had to fight myself, but I knew it was wrong and that it wasn't the kind of life that the Lord would want for me, and so I chose to not be one. After time, the urges went away completely.
The male and female body is designed for each other, and the act of sex is for the purpose of pro-creation. If there wasn't anything wrong with homosexuality, then why don't two male, or two female, bodies FIT together? Why can't they procreate on their own, without outside help and influence?
I believe the Bible and it states clearly in both old and new testament that it is wrong, just like stealing and murdering and many other acts of sin. It doesn't mean God doesn't love you, He loves everyone, regardless of their sin. But I don't believe He can truly use you until you choose to live a life right by Him. You may not have chosen to have those feelings, but you can and do choose if you are going to be homosexual.

Some people think that it is a mental sickness. Personally I don't think so. It may be mental, but not a sickness. Just a preference, probably born with, at times not discovered until later on in life. And really, not anyone's business but your own.

Nope, I don't believe that being gay is a sickness. But then again, I am not a christian, white, republican, homophobic male.
You are fine the way you are.
And don't let the "guys" tell you differently.
