well you need a planet a Sun and a moon to make a real tide
we can make a machine that can make waves ,
but a tide is like a magnet on both sides that take turns to use their magnetic power on WATER

maybe some thing like a gian vacume cleaner that sucks the water in in one direction and then the oposite way ,but what about the noise

it is very difficult to make a real tide machine
we can cheat and tilt the basin ,but it is not a real tide .

You could get an aquarium and a computer connected to a pump or water supply and drain to raise and lower water levels along the same times.
