yogurt contains helpful bacteria. It helps you with digestion and, forgive me for saying this, if you happen to become ill with stomach flu where you have diarrhea then the bacteria contained in the yogurt will help balance your system out. This is especially helpful if you have taken large doses of antibiotics that can destroy the bacteria in you digestion track. It will replenish them. Sorry, I know that wasn't pleasant but it is good information.
