This is the best sight to find free or very reasonable priced dogs in your area. They are usually someone's dog that can't be take care for various reasons. Almost every day their are new ones added to the list.

Try your local animal shelter. You could be saving a life by adopting an unwanted pup! It will be dirt cheap and quite humanitarian.

Check your Local 'Classifide' Section..
Check online as well (Online..as in.. Check your Local Newspapers online using Google..)
On Google.. Just put your Local News Paper Name/City and then 'Classifide'.. So .. I live in Dallas and I search
"Dallas Morning News Classifides"

Please go to a local pound. There are so many dogs that need good homes but can't find anyone to take them. Also try this link: http://www.akc.org/breeds/rescue.cfm, they have different dogs and you might find one that fits with you/your family.

Try www.petfinder.com. You can search for dogs for adoption in your area, and you can even limit your search based on size.
