There is a type of breast cancer called Paget's disease that manifests as a flaky/scaly rash on or around the nipple. It is a rare disease in which an underlying breast cancer is frequently present. Most rashes are due to benign skin conditions such as eczema. If a new rash presents, an appointment with a physician should be made do determine the cause.
