my x-boyfriend and I of 8 years broke up 6 months ago. I was just planning on having fun, not really liking somone else so soon. but I do. What if he doesn't call me, when should I call him? why do I feel sad that he hasn't called yet? It's only Monday night! We talked so much on the phone before the date. I know he had fun also because he really showed it. He even got affectionate with me ... kissed me, held my hand. Man, I've never had a guy open the doors for me, even the car door. And I'm 30! I feel like I'm in high school again. I don't want to seem too eager or desperate or pushy, you know. Please help me and men, I'd love it if you answered also. Thanks.

Call him whenever you feel like it. Tell him honestly you're out of practice dating, you don't know the rules and customs, so you don't know whether you were "supposed" to call but -- you felt like it. You enjoyed yourself and hope to see him some time again, whenever it suits him.

But only do that once, or if necessary a second time a few weeks later as a low-probability, nothing-to-lose second try.

And don't listen to those people who tell you there's a certain go-slow speed to physicality. You're 30 years old!! Do whatever feels right. If you have to slow him down, apologize to him for having the need to do so.

Best thing to do is take it slow and believe it or not kissing on the first date is too soon. Less is more and don't be so surprised that he was nice and polite you're new to him as he is to you so be patient when things are new you tend to treat it special, and let him call you trust me if he's interested he will it the laws of nature. but all in all congrats on a nice time on the town

Not trying to sound mean, but I think you have attachment issues. Possibly low self esteem as well. However, if this guy showed you that much attention it proves you shouldn't have low self-esteem, you must be a good catch!

You need to be sure of what you want before you go too much further. Plus be honest with him about what you want. He might not be interested in any kind of a long-term relationship. That would make it difficult for you.

Give it some time! And even though it's hard, try to take it slow, because the more you like someone, the easier it is to rush things. He definitely likes you, but you hear all that crap about waiting 2 or 3 days before calling someone back.....he might be doing that.
