The apostle John in Revelation was the last prophet.
Jesus now rules the world or at least his people.
I guess for now Satan rules the world.
Soon all false religion will be done away with the current bible is all we need.

The last living prophet was the apostle John. When he died the writing of the Bible was complete. There was no longer any need for anything else. We walk by faith and not by sight. The Bible contains all the info we need for now. So many of the prophecies of the Bible are just now seeing their fulfillment, and there are still some to come, even though we are living late in the end times...the end of this system of things is near.

i dont think the apostle john was ever considered a prophet maybe a visionary but the prophecies he wrote were from his savior jesus christ.
for example james wrote at james 5:10 Brothers, take as a pattern of the suffering of evil and the exercising of patience the prophets, who spoke in the name of Jehovah.
acts 3:22 In fact, Moses said, ‘Jehovah God will raise up for YOU from among YOUR brothers a prophet like me. YOU must listen to him according to all the things he speaks to YOU. 23 Indeed, any soul that does not listen to that Prophet will be completely destroyed from among the people.’ 24 And all the prophets, in fact, from Samuel on and those in succession, just as many as have spoken, have also plainly declared these days.
so in light of the scriptures the last prophet that we can read his prophecies was jesus if we dont listen to him we will be destroyed
there were some other prophets in the christian greek scriptures
There were, of course, certain ones particularly selected, or gifted, to serve as prophets. (1Co 12:4-11, 27-29) Paul himself had the gift of prophesying, yet he is primarily known as an apostle. (Compare Ac 20:22-25; 27:21-26, 31, 34; 1Co 13:2; 14:6.) Those especially designated as prophets, such as Agabus, Judas, and Silas, appear to have been outstanding spokesmen for the Christian congregation, second only to the apostles. (1Co 12:28; Eph 4:11) Like the apostles, they not only served locally but also traveled to different points, gave discourses, and also foretold certain future events. (Ac 11:27, 28; 13:1; 15:22, 30-33; 21:10, 11) As earlier, some Christian women received the gift of prophesying, though always subject to the headship of the male members of the congregation.—Ac 21:9; 1Co 11:3-5.

First, the second answer is not from a witness, so please ignore his comment.
The apostle John is the last inspired prophet.
The two witnesses in Rev. are symbolic and are not individuals.
Jesus has selected a faithful slave, but they are not inspired, nor are they infallible.
They are like the Be·roe′ans who search the scriptures to find the truth.

The Watchtower would tell you that it is a prophet, so there are prophets today. "Pastor Russell" was the prophet for the Laodicean era according to his tombstone.

Well, here's an example...there will be 2 more Prophets on Earth soon...
Their called the "two witnesses" in Revelations...
Elijah will most likely one of them...
I don't think there are any current True prophets now, though many claim to be annointed, but I don't personally believe it.
Perhaps John was the last prophet...for awhile....
