Redirection can work good at this age. If he is having a tantrum or acting "bratty" then try to get him to sing a song or ask him what sound a certain animal makes. Sometimes even showing him a bird outside the window will instantly diffuse the problem. Good Luck!

tip 1: ignore if possible. it's the only way to stay away
tip 2: if the above is not possible, like if you have to baby sit,
act interested. It works, just like acting happy.
tip 3: if your little cousin is the worst and the above wouldn't do then tell your mom, or your dad (might sound painful, but then your dad might understand)

tip 4: if none of this works, i don't know what to say... around 5 years old, the little cousin will start to mellow out. and appreciate the cousin that he/she has

That's just how 2 year olds are (terrible twos affect *most*). Have you tried talking to your dad about it? Chances are if you speek with him & explain that what your cousin does bothers you, he may try to help. If your cousin is doing something specific (like humming in your ear, or playing with something that is yours), try to ignore him when he's doing it. The more you argue with him the more it fuels the fire (gives him attention to keep him going). Other than that, talk to HIS parents if your dad won't do anything. Just say to them that what he does bothers you & sometimes you'd like him to stop and ask if they could help you change his behavior. You have to say it in a nice way so nobody gets offended. Good luck

All two year olds can be difficult.
Just ask how his parents deal with the situations and see if the same strategies work for you.
